Taiwan Quick Take: Chen to refile assets

President Chen Shui-bian (陳水扁) and first lady Wu Shu-jen (吳淑珍) will soon correct their declaration of jewelry possessions for 2003 and 2004, the Presidential Office said yesterday. "They will do it in accordance with the law as soon as possible," Presidential Office Spokesman David Lee (李南陽) said. Chen and Wu on Friday filed a corrected report with the Control Yuan on their jewelry assets for last year, which stand at NT$3.725 million (US$115,000). The government watchdog urged them to file the corrected reports on their valuables for 2003 and 2004.
