Monday, May 08, 2006, Page 3
A 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Kaohsiung, the Hong Kong Observatory said yesterday. The quake, recorded in Hong Kong at 9.55am yesterday, was centered about 130km south-southeast of Kaohsiung. It wasn't immediately clear if the quake led to any casualties or damages, but the tremor was so far away from Taiwan that authorities didn't issue a report on it.
