Premier Su Tseng-chang (蘇貞昌) visited the National Police Agency yesterday and addressed the directors-general of police stations from around the nation in the hope of raising morale. "There is no need for you to be afraid of pressure from elected officials. All you have to do is to uphold the law," Su said. Su said that the central government would spare no effort to support the police chiefs, but warned that they must take full responsibility for ensuring public order within their districts.
