Kaohsiung police yesterday arrested six alleged drug dealers who sold drugs to a man who was the son of a township chief in Kaohsiung County. Because the man died after using drugs at the home of one of the suspects, the men were charged with negligent homicide and abandonment.
"The suspect, Huang Wu-nan (黃武南), 28, in October sold some heroin to the township chief's son, who then vomited and fainted after using the drugs at Huang's home," Chen Chia-chin (陳家欽), director of the Kaohsiung City Police Department's criminal investigation corps said yesterday.
"Huang did not call police or take the man to a hospital, but took him home and dumped him in front of his house. When his family found him, he was already dead," Chen said.
Chen said that Huang then reported the matter to his "boss," Huang Rong-long (
Chen said Huang Rong-long and his girlfriend were the leaders of a criminal syndicate selling heroin and amphetamines around Kaohsiung County.
"Their business had been good, because the group's members used scooters to `express' deliver drugs any time their clients placed an order," Chen said.
He said that police yesterday morning arrested Huang Wu-nan, Huang Rong-long, Hung and three members of the group at their homes in Luchu Township (路竹), Kaohsiung County, seizing 32g of heroin and 20g of amphetamines.
