Three-day National Exposition on Education begins

The National Exposition on Education began yesterday with activities in Taipei County, northern Taiwan; Taichung City, central Taiwan; Kaohsiung City, southern Taiwan; and Hualien County in eastern Taiwan.
The three-day nationwide exposition is being sponsored by the Ministry of Education (MOE) to display the results of the government's education reforms, Education Minister Tu Cheng-sheng (§ù¥¿³Ó) said while presiding over an opening ceremony in Kaohsiung.
The exposition centers around four main themes, namely a modern citizenry, a global perspective, the Taiwanese entity, and social concern. Hundreds of activities, including artistic performances and exhibitions, will be held around Taiwan.
