Correction

An article published on Dec. 12 ("Academics mete out blame for soured relationship on both Bush and Chen," page 3) misquoted Ross Munro's comment on the US-Taiwan relationship. The third paragraph quoting Munro as saying: "I am furious, " should have read: "This is serious." We regret the error.
