Gustav Nyquist scored 1 minute, 41 seconds into overtime and the Detroit Red Wings overcame a pair of two-goal deficits to beat the Nashville Predators 5-4 on Saturday night.
Shea Weber had a hat-trick and put Nashville up 4-2 with his third score 8:03 into the third period.
Dylan Larkin scored for Detroit about a minute later, and then Justin Abdelkader tied it with a power-play goal with 2:23 left.

In Ottawa, Ontario, Erik Karlsson scored in overtime to finish off the Senators’ comeback from two goals down in the third period.
Karlsson finished off a cross-ice pass from Bobby Ryan at 3:34 of the extra period after Mike Hoffman forced overtime with 37 seconds left in regulation.
Mark Stone also scored for the Senators, while Karlsson also had two assists. Senators goalie Craig Anderson made 29 saves.
Matt Martin and Josh Bailey gave the Islanders a 2-0 lead before Ottawa stormed back. Jaroslav Halak stopped 26 shots. New York snapped a four-game winning streak, but recorded a point for the seventh straight game (5-0-2).

In Los Angeles, Jake Muzzin had a goal and two assists during Los Angeles’ four-goal second period as they won their third consecutive game of the season.
Milan Lucic scored twice in the Kings’ fifth straight home win. Drew Doughty and Christian Ehrhoff also scored for the first-place Kings.
Jonathan Quick made 17 saves to beat Pittsburgh for just the second time in his career, and the Kings scored five goals in a game for the first time this season.
Chris Kunitz had a goal and two assists for Pittsburgh, and the Penguins lost in regulation for just the second time in eight games. Sidney Crosby had a third-period goal and an assist, and Olli Maatta scored in his return from a six-game injury absence.
Two of the NHL’s best defensive teams yielded six combined goals in a wild second period, with Muzzin matching his career-high in points over a 10-minute span.

In Vancouver, Tukka Rask stopped 17 shots for his third shutout of the season and the 29th of his career to lead Boston.

Rask, the backup to Tim Thomas when Boston beat Vancouver in the 2011 Stanley Cup Final, picked up his first victory at the Rogers Arena after giving up four goals in each of the Bruins’ last two visits.
