David Clarkson scored in the fourth round of the shootout after Johan Hedberg made a pad save on Nicklas Backstrom, as the New Jersey Devils rallied for a 3-2 victory over the Washington Capitals on Saturday night.
Zach Parise also scored for the Devils in the shootout, while Alex Ovechkin connected for Washington.
New Jersey got goals from Petr Sykora and Ryan Carter in the second period to erase a 2-0 deficit. The Devils have won three of four games.

In Columbus, Ohio, Ryan Johansen scored two goals and Steve Mason made with 35 saves to help struggling Columbus end a three-game losing skid.
Johansen has scored the winning goal in all three of Columbus’ victories.
Mark Stuart scored a short-handed goal for the Jets, who have lost five straight.
Canadiens 2, Predators 1, OT
In Nashville, Max Pacioretty scored 2:31 into overtime to lift Montreal over Nashville.
David Desharnais also scored for Montreal and assisted on the game winner.
Shea Weber had the lone goal for the Predators in the second.
It was only the third game this season the Predators have had more shots than their opponents. They have been outshot a league-high 13 times.
Flames 4, Avalanche 3
In Denver, Miikka Kiprusoff made 36 saves as Calgary held on to beat Colorado for the eighth straight time.
Lee Stempniak, Jarome Iginla, Paul Byron and Curtis Glencross scored to build a 4-0 lead for the Flames before the Avalanche rallied.
Milan Hejduk, Matt Duchene and David Jones scored for Colorado, who have lost six of eight home games this season.
Senators 5, Maple Leafs 2
In Toronto, Nick Foligno scored two goals and Craig Anderson made 31 saves as Ottawa ended their five-game losing streak.
Sergei Gonchar, Zack Smith and Milan Michalek added goals for Ottawa.
Tyler Bozak and Joffrey Lupul scored for the Maple Leafs, who dropped their third straight game at home.

In Boston, Tyler Seguin scored twice and had an assist as Boston increased their season-high winning streak to five with a victory over Buffalo.
Brad Marchand had a goal and two assists and Rich Peverley and Chris Kelly had a goal and an assist each for Boston.
The Bruins have scored 30 goals during the current winning streak. They held the Sabres to 23 shots and ended Buffalo’s four-game winning streak.
