AP , DALLAS, TEXAS

The Wild lost stalwart forward Andrew Brunette to an apparent right knee injury halfway through the game, putting his streak of 497 consecutive games played — currently the longest in the NHL — in jeopardy.

BLACKHAWKS 2, BLUES 1, OT

At St. Louis, Martin Havlat scored 1:23 into overtime, and Cristobal Huet made 27 saves to help Chicago past St. Louis.

Havlat’s 14th goal was the difference as the Blackhawks improved to 6-2 in the second of back-to-back games.

With David Backes off for hooking, Troy Brouwer tipped Cameron Barker’s slap shot past Manny Legace at 12:56 for his sixth goal.

St Louis finally beat Huet 3:12 into the third period when Backes scored his 15th of the season during a power play.

SHARKS 6, RED WINGS 5

At San Jose, California, Milan Michalek scored the tiebreaking goal on a breakaway with 9:42 to play as San Jose stayed on top of the Western Conference by beating Detroit.

Captain Patrick Marleau added another breakaway goal for the Sharks with 6:36 left, and Ryane Clowe contributed a career-high four assists to San Jose’s second win in three meetings this season with Detroit, the defending Stanley Cup champions.

San Jose moved back atop the overall NHL standings with 71 points — ahead of Boston.

Brian Rafalski scored with 1:56 left for Detroit, but Evgeni Nabokov made the last of his 29 saves to clinch San Jose’s 21st victory in 24 home games.

Dan Boyle, Joe Pavelski, Christian Ehrhoff and Jonathan Cheechoo also scored goals for the Sharks, whose 3-2 loss to Calgary on Thursday night ended their streak of 31 straight regular-season home games with at least one point.

COYOTES 4, FLAMES 3

At Calgary, Alberta, Mikkel Boedker scored the winning goal and added an assist as Phoenix snapped Calgary’s seven-game, home-winning streak.

Calgary responded just over a minute later when Mike Cammalleri deflected Dion Phaneuf’s slap shot past Ilya Bryzgalov for his second goal of the night to cut the lead to 4-3.

Trailing 3-1 after 40 minutes, Calgary rallied with Matthew Lombardi’s fourth goal at 3:17 on a slap shot from the blue line.

David Hale, Peter Mueller, and Olli Jokinen also scored for Phoenix, which has won four of five.
