Brett Favre threw two touchdown passes and Leon Washington ran for two scores as the New York Jets routed the Tennessee Titans 34-13 on Sunday, snapping a 13-game regular-season winning streak by the NFL¡¦s last undefeated team.
The Jets (8-3) came in atop the American Football League East after a victory over New England at Foxborough. They have won five straight for the first time since October 2004 and seven of their last eight.
The Titans (10-1) hadn¡¦t lost since Dec. 16 last year, in becoming only the 11th team since 1970 to win their first 10 games.
Favre threw for 224 yards and broke a tie with Dan Marino for victories in the most NFL stadiums by winning in his 32nd at LP Field.
PATRIOTS 48, DOLPHINS 28
In Miami, Matt Cassel threw for 415 yards and Randy Moss caught three touchdown passes as the resilient Patriots won a shootout.
The Patriots (7-4), who remained a game behind the AFC East-leading New York Jets, avenged an upset loss to Miami in September. New England haven¡¦t been swept in a season series by a division opponent since 2000.
For the Dolphins (6-5), the loss snapped a four-game winning streak and hurt their chances of an improbable play-off berth after going 1-15 last year.
COWBOYS 35, 49ERS 22
In Irving, Texas, Terrell Owens broke out with seven catches for 213 yards to help Dallas beat San Francisco.
Owens¡¦ total was the second-highest of his career, behind only the 283 yards he had in a game in 2000 in which he caught an NFL-record 20 passes back when he played for the 49ers, and tied the fourth-best in Cowboys history.
Shaun Hill was 21-of-33 for 303 yards for the 49ers (3-8), but was sacked four times.
RAVENS 36, EAGLES 7
In Baltimore, Maryland, Donovan McNabb watched from the sidelines as the Baltimore Ravens beat the Philadelphia Eagles, presenting first-year coach John Harbaugh with a lopsided victory over the team he served as an assistant for 10 years.
Ed Reed picked off McNabb¡¦s halftime replacement, Kevin Kolb, and returned the interception an NFL-record 108 yards for a touchdown to give Baltimore (7-4) a 22-point cushion with 7 minutes, 24 seconds left.
McNabb was eight-for-18 for 59 yards with two interceptions and a fumble in the first half ¡X a miserable 13.2 quarterback rating.
In Sunday¡¦s other NFL games it was:
¡E Bills 54, Chiefs 31
¡E Vikings 30, Jaguars 12
¡E Texans 16, Browns 6
¡E Bears 27, Rams 3
¡E Buccaneers 38, Lions 20
¡E Giants 37, Cardinals 29
¡E Oakland 31, Denver 10
¡E Falcons 45, Panthers 28
¡E Redskins 20, Seahawks 17
¡E Colts 23, Chargers 20
