Jagr scores two as New York Rangers shut out Thrashers

Jaromir Jagr scored and had two assists as the New York Rangers shut out the Atlanta Thrashers to win 4-0 in NHL action on Tuesday.
Defenseman Fedor Tyutin helped set up three goals for the Rangers, who remain bottom of the Atlantic Division but with the eighth-best record in the Eastern Conference.
Henrik Lundqvist stopped 14 shots in earning his seventh shutout and 14th in three NHL seasons.
Red Wings 3, Kings 0
In Los Angeles, Chris Osgood made 27 saves in his third shutout of the season, and Detroit downed Los Angeles in a clash between the NHL's best and worst teams.
The Red Wings got goals from Tomas Holmstrom, Mikael Samuelsson and Johan Franzen.
It was the fourth shutout loss by the Kings, who have won only one of their past 18 meetings with Detroit.
Osgood, who will play in his fourth All-Star game on Sunday, shaved his league-leading goals-against average down to 1.87 with his 46th career shutout. The victory was his 356th, edging him past former Kings goaltender Rogie Vachon for 15th place all-time.
Sharks 3, Blackhawks 2
In San Jose, California, the home side snapped a four-game losing streak by edging Chicago.
Joe Pavelski scored a shorthanded goal and Christian Ehrhoff finally got his first goal of the season.
The Sharks improved the Western Conference's worst home record by holding on through a tense third period against the Blackhawks, whose four-game winning streak ended.
San Jose fell out of first place in the Pacific Division during its longest skid of the season, but regained form with a solid defensive game against a surging opponent.
Panthers 5, Senators 3
In Sunrise, Florida, All-Star Tomas Vokoun stopped 43 shots as Florida downed Eastern Conference leaders Ottawa.
Tanner Glass scored his first NHL goal and Nathan Horton had four assists for the Panthers.
