Martin Brodeur stopped 36 shots in his 96th regular-season shutout, and New Jersey beat Philadelphia 3-0 for their 11th straight home win over the Flyers on Friday.
Brodeur has four shutouts this season and is seven shy of tying Terry Sawchuk's mark of 103. Brodeur's total of 118, including 22 in the playoffs, is a NHL record.
The Devils lost the first game of the season series but have won four straight, stretching their dominance over Philadelphia to 14-1-1. The Flyers haven't won in New Jersey since March 2004, and have one more chance this season.

Devils defenseman Paul Martin, who hadn't recorded a point in 11 games, had a goal. Travis Zajac scored his first in nearly a month, and Patrik Elias added a power-play tally in his first game since missing two due to a groin injury.
Brodeur has 40 of his 515 career wins against Philadelphia, his most against any team.
Senators 5, Sabres 3
At Buffalo, New York, Dany Heatley and Daniel Alfredsson scored late in the third period, and Ottawa handed Buffalo its season-worst fifth straight loss.
Heatley, Alfredsson, Jason Spezza and Andrej Meszaros each had a goal and assist for the Senators, who snapped a two-game skid.
Ray Emery made 36 saves and Cody Bass scored his first NHL goal for Ottawa, which owns the best road record in the Eastern Conference with 14 wins in 20 games.
Ales Kotalik, Jochen Hecht and Michael Ryan scored for Buffalo, which erased a three-goal deficit before Heatley and Alfredsson scored.
Hurricanes 4, Thrashers 3
At Atlanta, Cory Stillman scored the tiebreaking goal on a two-man advantage with 3:23 left, and Carolina overcame a pair of two-goal deficits to beat Atlanta.
Two days after Ilya Kovalchuk had four points in an overtime win at Carolina, the Thrashers star was held without a goal as the Hurricanes padded their Southeast Division lead to five points.
Stillman's goal gave the Hurricanes their first lead. Eric Staal, Ray Whitney and Casey Borer also scored for Carolina, which ended a three-game losing streak.
Ducks 2, Blackhawks 1
At Los Angeles, Corey Perry and Chris Kunitz scored in the first and last minutes of the opening period, leading Anaheim over Chicago.
Chicago suffered its fourth straight loss as the Ducks beat the Blackhawks for the 11th time in 12 meetings. The only loss came in a shootout.
For the third time on this three-game road trip, the Blackhawks allowed a goal during the first minute of a period. Perry scored just 16 seconds after the opening faceoff, beating Nikolai Khabibulin.
Revelations of positive doping tests for nearly two dozen Chinese swimmers that went unpunished sparked an intense flurry of accusations and legal threats between the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the head of the US drug-fighting organization, who has long been one of WADA’s fiercest critics. WADA on Saturday said it was turning to legal counsel to address a statement released by US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) CEO Travis Tygart, who said WADA and anti-doping authorities in China swept positive tests “under the carpet by failing to fairly and evenly follow the global rules that apply to everyone else in the world.” The

Yang defeated three opponents on Saturday to reach the final after receiving a bye through the round of 32. He first topped Laotian Soukphaxay Sithisane in the round of 16 with two seoi nage (over-the-shoulder throws), then ousted Indian Vijay Kumar Yadav in the quarter-finals with his signature ude hishigi sankaku gatame (triangular armlock). Taiwanese gymnast Lee Chih-kai failed to secure an Olympic berth in the pommel horse following a second-place finish at the last qualifier in Doha on Friday, a performance that Lee and his coach called “unconvincing.” The Tokyo Olympics silver medalist finished runner-up in the final after scoring 6.6 for degree of difficulty and 8.800 for execution for a combined score of 15.400. That was just 0.100 short of Jordan’s Ahmad Abu Al Soud, who had qualified for the event in Paris before the Apparatus World Cup series in Qatar’s capital.
