Schumacher refuses to rule out F1 return

    AP, BARCELONA, SPAIN
    Saturday, May 12, 2007, Page 20

Former world champion Michael Schumacher is not ruling out a return to Formula One.

"I'm only so many months out of this business and I'm quite happy with it. But with any future, who knows," Schumacher said yesterday.

The seven-time world champion was in the Ferrari paddock at the Spanish Grand Prix for the first time since retiring from racing at the end of the 2006 season.

For now, the 38-year-old German driver prefers watching the competition to competing with it.

"This season has been very exciting with the new drivers, new faces and a tighter competition. It's nice to watch it," Schumacher said.

Aside from praising the start of his former teammate Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikonnen for their strong start to the campaign, he did rule out any plans to return to the Italian team -- or any other -- within the boardroom.
