Slava Kozlov scored the decisive goal in the third period to beat the Pittsburgh Penguins for the second time in a week and the Atlanta Thrashers ran their winning streak to five NHL games with a 4-2 victory on Wednesday.
The Penguins have lost five straight.
The Thrashers have had two five-game winning streaks this month, the longest in the franchise's short history. Pittsburgh has been streaking for a month, losing four in a row, then winning four straight before its latest skid.

Kozlov got the game-winner, his 15th of the season, about seven minutes into the third period on a wrist shot from along the goal line that got past goalie Marc-Andre Fleury inside the near post. Kozlov has two goals and four assists in three games against Pittsburgh this season.
Kari Lehtonen stopped 35 of 37 shots and has turned away 162 of 173 during the current winning streak.

At Ottawa, Ray Emery stopped 18 shots in his second shutout of the season and Mike Fisher and Chris Kelly scored to lead Ottawa.
Fisher scored his ninth goal late in the first period off Rick DiPietro, who was coming off consecutive shutout victories against Columbus and the New York Rangers.
Kelly gave Ottawa an insurance goal at 16:29 of the third period when he redirected Anton Volchenkov's point shot past DiPietro with a second remaining on a power play.
