Jason Blake scored three times and Brad Lukowich had the go-ahead goal 4:43 into the third period, leading the New York Islanders over the Philadelphia Flyers 4-2 in the NHL on Saturday.

Garth Snow stopped 34 shots to help the Islanders snap a two-game skid.

R.J. Umberger scored both goals for Philadelphia, which played without leading scorer Peter Forsberg because of a groin injury. The Flyers have lost five of seven, including two overtime losses, after winning six in a row.

"We had a couple chances and Snow made some great saves," Flyers forward Simon Gagne said. "That's how it has been the last few games. We make a mistake or a turnover and it ends up in our net."

    Senators 4, Bruins 2

At Ottawa, Jason Spezza had two goals and two assists and linemates Dany Heatley and Daniel Alfredsson each had a goal and two assists for Ottawa.

Heatley needed only 34 seconds to extend his points streak to 21 games, picking up an assist on Spezza's goal on the opening shift.

Ottawa (18-0-3) has won five straight and 10 of 11

Brad Isbister and Nick Boynton scored for Boston.

Maple Leafs 4, Canadiens 3, OT

At Toronto, Mats Sundin scored a power-play goal at 1:29 of overtime to give the Maple Leafs their 10th victory in their last 13 games against Montreal.

Jeff O'Neill, Jason Allison and Chad Kilger also scored for Toronto. Tomas Plekanec, Mike Ribeiro and Alexander Perezhogin scored for the Canadiens.

    Blue Jackets 4, Blues 3

At St. Louis, Aaron Johnson's first goal of the season snapped a third-period tie and Columbus ended a seven-game losing streak.

Manny Malhotra had a goal and two assists, Luke Richardson and Martin Brule also scored, and Jody Shelley had two assists for the Blue Jackets, who tied their season best for goals and leapfrogged the Blues in a battle for the NHL basement.

Barret Jackman had two goals and Mike Sillinger also scored for the Blues.

    Rangers 3, Capitals 2, SO

At New York, Marek Malik ended the NHL's longest shootout in the 15th round, fooling Olie Kolzig with a trick shot to give New York its fifth straight victory.

With only two available skaters left on the Rangers' bench, the defenseman took a shot with his stick between his skates and beat Kolzig.

The Rangers, who also got shootout goals from Michael Nylander, Ville Nieminen and Jason Strudwick, improved to 4-1 in the new tiebreaker. Washington fell to 3-2 in shootouts despite goals from Andrew Cassels, Brian Willsie and Bryan Muir.

Chris Clark and Willsie scored second-period goals to rally Washington from a 2-0 deficit after Jason Ward and Jed Ortmeyer scored for New York.

    Red Wings 7, Sharks 6

At San Jose, California, Brendan Shanahan scored the tying and winning goals in a 70-second span late in the third period and Mathieu Schneider scored three goals to help Detroit hand the Sharks their ninth straight loss.
