Chelsea conceded its first goal in winning its seventh straight Premier League match on Saturday, while Manchester United lost and Arsenal and Liverpool drew.
Luke Moore of Aston Villa ended Chelsea's six-match league streak of clean sheets when he scored in the 44th minute at Stamford Bridge.
The lead lasted just a minute before Frank Lampard scored with a free kick. The England midfielder then converted a penalty in the 75th for the 2-1 victory.
The win gave Chelsea 21 points. Manchester United lost 2-1 to visiting Blackburn, Arsenal drew 0-0 at promoted West Ham and Liverpool scrambled to a 2-2 draw at Birmingham.
"The game was not easy," Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said. "I think it's not normal to not concede a goal for so long. I'm happy the goal was not a silly goal or a mistake by one of my players."
Chelsea is 11 points clear of Arsenal, 10 ahead of Manchester United and 14 ahead of Liverpool.
Mourinho has joined Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson in only speaking to television reporters after matches because he believes he's been misquoted.
"When I speak to television, you cannot change it," Mourinho said.
Hearts won its eighth straight Scottish Premier League match with a 1-0 win over defending champion Rangers.
Roman Bednar's 14th-minute header gave the Edinburgh side its first home win over Rangers since August 1998.
"We have had a fantastic start to the season but I said this would give us a big psychological lift and it did," Hearts captain Steven Pressley said.
"That is four goals conceded in eight SPL games and we pride ourselves on our defensive record. We have equaled the club record from 1914-1915, which is an honor."
Rangers slipped from third to sixth in the standings.
"A few of my players underachieved today and were beaten in the little battles," Rangers manager Alex McLeish said. "It is not good enough. We need Rangers players to be winning the battles in every game."
Hearts leads the Scottish standings with a maximum 24 points. Celtic is five points behind in second after a 2-1 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Craig Beattie scored twice after Inverness had took the lead through Dennis Wyness.
Hibernian is third with 16 points after a 3-1 win over Motherwell. Kilmarnock is fourth with 14 points after it drew 1-1 with Falkirk. Rangers has 13 points.
Hamburg ended Bayern Munich's record 15-match winning streak in with a 2-0 home win.
Second-placed Hamburg closed to within one point of Bayern and stretched its unbeaten streak to 17 matches with a defense that has conceded four goals in seven games this season.
Bayern didn't have a single clear chance in front of 56,000 fans at AOL Arena.
"It was not our day, not our match and somehow we were due for a loss," Kahn said. "Now the weight of the winning streak is off our shoulders."
Hamburg's fans will get to celebrate properly. A German brewery promised 10,000 liters of beer to the team that first beat Bayern this year.
Bayern has 18 points from seven rounds, Hamburg has 17, and Bremen is on 16 after its 2-1 win against Leverkusen.
Revelations of positive doping tests for nearly two dozen Chinese swimmers that went unpunished sparked an intense flurry of accusations and legal threats between the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the head of the US drug-fighting organization, who has long been one of WADA’s fiercest critics. WADA on Saturday said it was turning to legal counsel to address a statement released by US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) CEO Travis Tygart, who said WADA and anti-doping authorities in China swept positive tests “under the carpet by failing to fairly and evenly follow the global rules that apply to everyone else in the world.” The

Yang defeated three opponents on Saturday to reach the final after receiving a bye through the round of 32. He first topped Laotian Soukphaxay Sithisane in the round of 16 with two seoi nage (over-the-shoulder throws), then ousted Indian Vijay Kumar Yadav in the quarter-finals with his signature ude hishigi sankaku gatame (triangular armlock). Taiwanese gymnast Lee Chih-kai failed to secure an Olympic berth in the pommel horse following a second-place finish at the last qualifier in Doha on Friday, a performance that Lee and his coach called “unconvincing.” The Tokyo Olympics silver medalist finished runner-up in the final after scoring 6.6 for degree of difficulty and 8.800 for execution for a combined score of 15.400. That was just 0.100 short of Jordan’s Ahmad Abu Al Soud, who had qualified for the event in Paris before the Apparatus World Cup series in Qatar’s capital.
