Seven wrestlers remain unbeaten in autumn sumo

    AP, TOKYO

Yokozuna Asashoryu posted his third win to stay atop the standings in the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament Tuesday, but the grand champion's biggest challengers, ozekis Kaio and Chiyotaikai, also won and remained tied for the lead.

At the end of the day, seven wrestlers were 3-0.

In the final bout at Tokyo's Ryogoku Kokugikan, Asashoryu wasted little time dispatching top-ranking maegashira Takamisakari. The Mongolian-born yokozuna grabbed Takamisakari in a bear hug and shoved him out of the ring. Takamisakari fell to 1-2.

Continuing the winning streak is vital for the 22-year-old Asashoryu. During July's Nagoya tourney, he was roundly criticized for losing and for exhibiting unruly behavior.
