The scandal of the alleged gang rape of a bar hostess by two members of the popular rock band The Chairman (董事長樂團) and a friend continued to grow yesterday.
Results of a DNA test, announced by police at the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB, 刑事警察局) yesterday confirmed that semen found on a hotel bedsheet and in the alleged victim's vaginal secretions -- collected on Jan. 30, the day she was allegedly raped -- was from band member Wu Yung-chi (吳永吉).
Police said DNA analysis indicated that another man's sperm was present in the vaginal secretions. Further analysis is needed in order to identify to whom the other sperm was from, they said.
According to the police, Wu, the band's rhythm guitarist and singer, at first refused to submit to DNA testing.
