While Soong urged the KMT to support the no-confidence motion, the KMT had reservations, with its caucus whip Tsai Chin-lung (蔡錦隆) saying that the party would back the motion "when the time was right."
Chang, Ku and Chen Chin-ting didn't vote for yesterday's motion as in June, when the first recall vote was held.
While it was reported that both Chen Chin-ting, who cast an invalid vote, and Chang, who abstained, had given in to pressure from the DPP, this was dismissed.
"I actually voted for it. But I just wrote some words, such as `people's livelihood first,' on my ballot. To be honest, it doesn't matter whether I voted for it or not," Chen Chin-ting said.
KMT caucus whip Tsai Chin-lung said Chang couldn't make it to cast his ballot because his flight back to Taiwan was delayed.
As for Ku, the PFP caucus said he was in hospital and too frail to cast his ballot.
