Legacy Taipei hosts top Taiwanese pop performers and international acts. Tonight, Mando-pop new talents Waiting Zeng (曾維梃) and Sherry Cheng (鄭雙雙) put together a show, followed by pop rock band io (io樂團) on Sunday. It is the latest installment of the Next Big Thing series on Thursday, featuring indie rockers Hippocampus (海馬迴), post-rock group Kishikan (既視感) and FUBAR.

The Wall (這牆), Taipei’s most prominent venue for indie rock artists, features alt-rock band Guntzepaula (槍擊潑辣), electro-pop/post-rock act Nightcap (睡帽樂團) and ska group Skaraoke tonight. It is the release party of drum and bass/electro house combo OVDS’ debut album tomorrow, while hip-hop/rock group Chiu and Love (丘與樂) celebrate the release of its latest EP on Sunday. Wednesday’s roster includes progressive metal/polyrhythm act VuLner and Instrumental/post-rock outfit Mass Man. Thursday’s main act is indie rockers Frusciante (佛香甜).

Electronic rockers Chemical Monkey (化學猴子) takes the stage tomorrow at Pipe Live Music, a main venue for indie music and parties.

Tonight’s lineup is formed by upbeat punk rockers Punkhoo (胖虎), hardcore punk group The Roadside Inn and mental band Devil Assassin (惡魔刺客) at indie rock club Revolver. It is live music from electronic rockers No Money, No Honey, electronic/alternative rock outfit Sleeping Brain (眠腦) and Pleasure Science (愉悅科學) tomorrow. Together with power metal outfit Spresto (馳云章樂團), trash/metal acts Hydra and Revolting Society (背骨) play a show under the theme of When President Ma Keeps Kissing China’s Ass on Wednesday.

Led by jazz musician Martijn Vanbuel, Orbit Folks (世界軌跡樂團) fuses world music with jazz on Sunday at The TAV Cafe (村落餐廳), a bar and cafe located at the Taipei Artist Village (台北國際藝術村).
