Japanese pop-rock band flumpool will play two shows starting tonight at Legacy Taipei, located in a former warehouse at Huashan 1914 Creative Park (華山1914). Tomorrow’s show is sold out. On Monday, it is punk rock/ska band SiM and emo punk/hardcore outfit coldrain, both of which are from Japan. Legendary American trash metal act Testament makes their second visit to Taiwan on Wednesday. Thursday’s show is the latest in Legacy’s concert series The Next Big Thing, showcasing up-and-coming talent. This week’s roster includes Instrumental/post-rock outfit Mass Man and experimental rockers Low Brightness Period (低明度時期).

Known for their eclectic styles mixing many influences including punk, ska, bossa nova and hip-hop, Japanese indie trio 10-Feet takes the stage tonight at The Wall (這牆), Taipei’s most prominent venue for indie rock artists. Noted Chinese indie rockers Hedgehog (刺蝟樂隊) appear on Monday. On Wednesday, it is Canadian hardcore punk outfit Fucked Up and British punks Gallows. Thursday’s lineup are Hong Kong indie rockers Chochukmo (觸執毛) and Ellen Loo (盧凱彤).
