Actor Lam Ka-tung (林家棟), said he's trying to deduce the overall plot through this interactions with other actors.

“We can reconstruct the story from the filming process,” he said.

“Lam should be a police officer, I'm guessing,” Lin speculated when explaining her character to a reporter.

It's not just the actors who are grappling with an unknown quality — so are the directors, who are making a unique artistic attempt by taking turns at the director's chair on a single story.

“We all thought this project was quite interesting. We should give it a try. How should we go about it? We don't quite know,” Tsui said.

Tsui, Ringo Lam and To are former colleagues from their TV days at Hong Kong broadcaster TVB, an incubator for local movie talent that has also served as the launching pad for stars like Chow Yun-fat (周潤發) and Tony Leung Chiu-wai (梁朝偉).

Asked about how the trio plans to resolve possible problems with stylistic consistency and agreeing on a final cut for the film, Tsui said, “We don't know. We hope we can transcend the difficulties one would normally imagine.”

“I'm very curious. I'm really want to know how Ringo Lam will film next,” he said.
