Local music label Silent Agreement (默契音樂), which over the past three years has distributed a solid collection of down tempo and electronica bands from England, Hong Kong and Taiwan, is organizing a two-day music festival that will take place on May 28 and May 29.

The Grass Fest's lineup will consist of some prominent local acts but organizers are also taking submissions until May 15 from bands and DJs to play the remaining half dozen or so open slots. Submissions can be completed over the Internet at www.grassfest.net, or hard-copy applications can be picked up at MoRelax Cafe, located in the Shida area at 20, Ln 60, Taishun St, Taipei (台北市泰順街60巷20號) and sent in by mail. Applications are also being accepted now for those wishing to operate a stall at the festival.

Some of the local bands that have been confirmed to play the festival include 1976, LTK and Soda Green.

To fit the more chilled-out atmosphere of the festival, LTK plans to play an acoustic set. Silent Agreement will also bring in two bands released by the label from Hong Kong called The Marshmallow Kisses and My Little Airport. Both share a distinctive retro-style of keyboards, cheery melodies and wilting voices singing quirky lyrics.

The show will be held on the campus of National Taiwan Normal University's branch campus between Gongguan and Jingmei.
