"Because I was afraid of being arrested by the police," the director said.
Unlike at home, Happy Berry has been welcomed at film festivals so far in Hong Kong, the US, the Philippines and now Taipei. Pansittivorakul will next take the film to join the Rotterdam Film Festival.
"I will keep on showing the true life of Thai people. My next film will be about the 30-something people in Bangkok," Pansittivorakul said.

「快樂莓」(Happy Berry)是一家位於曼谷暹邏廣場的服飾店，由幾個年輕人經營，店裡的服飾也是他們自己設計。不過，這群人真正的願望是進軍流行樂壇，只是他們的音樂顯然不如他們的服飾來得受歡迎。泰國獨立製片導演彭西迪佛拉高，選擇了這個屬於曼谷的題材：年輕人之間的愛、忌妒、親密情誼和性生活。他們朝夕相處，工作在一起、睡在一起，共同經營「快樂莓」，又同時面對踏入樂壇雄心的破滅。導演近身接觸，呈現了鮮為人知的泰國生活切片。
