Letter: Get rid of the thieves

    By Chen Ming-Chung

    Wednesday, Nov 16, 2005, Page 8

A vote for pan-blue candidates is a vote for a media funded by the enemy.

It's a vote for collaborators with China who wish to sabotage national defense, for the bloodthirsty unrepentant murderers of the 228 Incident and for corrupt, foreign thieves living off ill-gotten gains and undeserved pensions. This is the case whether one is talking about Taichung Mayor Jason Hu (胡志強), former Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) Chairman Lien Chan (連戰) or Taipei Mayor Ma Ying-jeou (馬英九).

Former US president Harry S. Truman had it right. Of Chiang Kai-Shek (蔣介石) and his party, he said "They are all thieves, every damn one of them."

These thieves are still making Taiwan's laws in the Legislative Yuan today.

That is why so much of what belongs to Taiwan has been stolen -- from its language and identity, its national land and treasure, its right to defend itself and the very name Taiwan.

Just look at the fate of the National Assembly. It took only a week to slay that useless dinosaur, which had roamed the land for half a century.

Do Taiwanese voters want to get rid of all their political headaches?

They should vote green, and see what happens.
