RSM International (廣信益群), a multinational network of accounting firms that make up the sixth-largest accountancy professional services network in the world, held its RSM Asia-Pacific Conference in Taipei from Tuesday until yesterday, with 150 delegates from accountancy firms around the world in attendance and climaxing with a golf tournament today.
The conference also marked the 66th anniversary of RSM Taiwan, which hosted the event.
As well as plenary sessions, delegates attended a range of workshops and training events.

A party was held at the Taipei World Center Club on Thursday evening to mark RSM Taiwan’s 66th anniversary, with president-elect Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) speaking as the guest of honor.
RSM Taiwan chairman Tsai Hsin-fu (蔡信夫) said that RSM International’s extensive global network allows clients throughout the world to understand Taiwan and invest in the nation, which creates business opportunities and carries the nation’s economy forward.
It also creates opportunities for Taiwanese businesses to expand abroad, he said.
RSM chief executive Jean Stephens said that Taiwan is an important market for RSM and transnational cooperation is becoming ever more important in the age of globalization.
Tsai said that accountants are the physicians of the business world and can make a significant contribution to economic prosperity.
The president-elect said she hoped that the delegates would grasp the chance to investigate both inward and outward investment opportunities.
