FIH Regent Group (FIH, 晶華國際酒店集團), operator of Formosa Regent Taipei (晶華酒店), has opened its first independent steakhouse in Taipei’s Xinyi District (信義) in the hope of generating NT$60 million (US$1.85 million) in annual revenue, FIH Regent Group managing director of food and beverages Simon Wu (吳偉正) said.
Located on the sixth floor of Eslite Bookstore (誠品), the new steakhouse, “Just Grill,” aims to provide diners with premium quality steaks and seafood, organic salad and appetizer bar and Woodbridge wine selections, Wu said.
Wu said that Just Grill is the second independent restaurant in the district after Spice Market (泰市場), a Thai style seafood and cuisine buffet restaurant.
The new restaurant offers lunch sets from NT$880 and evening and holiday packages from NT$1,080 Wu said.
Just Grill can seat 84 and has two curtain-separated private dining areas for six to eight customers, a glass-encased open grill kitchen, and a spot-lighted salad and appetizer display section, Wu said.
Designed by Eugene Yeh (葉裕清), Just Grill has a vintage-industrial feel blended with Regent’s brand features.
Just Grill overlooks the Taipei 101 building, and diners can watch live cooking shows during their meal.
Meanwhile, Formosa Regent Taipei is to reopen its all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant Brasserie today after two months of renovation, which cost more than NT$100 million, the group said in a statement.
The 25-year-old restaurant is to invite renowned chef Coley Miller to highlight the reopening event, the statement said.
Brasserie has been dubbed Taipei’s hottest all-you-can-eat restaurant, with an annual revenue of more than NT$300 million, the statement said.

Yet smart toys have been rising in popularity for some time. Many major European and US brands already offer tech-enhanced products that can enable long-distance love, monitor well-being and even bring people one step closer to

The “five plus two” innovative industries policy, “six core strategic industries” initiative and infrastructure projects have grown the national industry and established resilient supply chains that withstood the COVID-19 pandemic, Tsai said. Taiwan has improved investment conditions of the domestic economy

Now it wants to go beyond production and emerge as a chip design powerhouse too, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said. “I am pleased to announce the largest IC (integrated circuit) Design Park in Southeast Asia, that will house world-class anchor tenants and collaborate with global companies such as Arm [Holdings PLC],”
