The China External Trade Development Council (CETRA, 外貿協會) said yesterday that it will promote cooperation among local building materials companies in tapping the Chinese market.
Many Taiwan companies in the building materials industry are operating successfully in China, CETRA officials said, adding that the council hopes to expand the Chinese market for the building materials industry.
Among the companies making a success of their mainland operations, one local ceramics manufacturer who moved his production line to Jiangsu Province in 1993 now has facilities in some 60 major cities, according to CETRA.
