The 41-year-old Anthony was the third overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft and is widely regarded as one of the league’s best scorers.
Known for his signature jab step and pull-up jumper, he finished his 19-season career with 28,289 points, earning him 10th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
Anthony played with teams such as the Denver Nuggets, the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Lakers.
In addition to his 2012-13 scoring title and six All-NBA selections, Anthony led Team USA to three Olympic gold medals.
He was also honored as one of the league’s top 75 players in history.
Anthony, who announced his retirement in 2023, was elected to the Hall of Fame in April.
He is to be enshrined on Saturday next week for both his NBA career and his role on the 2008 US Olympic “Redeem Team,” which won gold at the Beijing Games.
