A 72-year-old man in Kaohsiung was sentenced to 40 days in jail after he was found having sex with a 67-year-old woman under a slide in a public park on Sunday afternoon.
At 3pm on Sunday, a mother surnamed Liang (梁) was with her child at a neighborhood park when they found the man, surnamed Tsai (蔡), and woman, surnamed Huang (黃), underneath the slide.
Liang took her child away from the scene, took photographs of the two and called the police, who arrived and arrested the couple.

During questioning, Tsai told police that he had met Huang that day and offered to chat with her in the park's children’s area.
Huang reportedly told Tsai that she had not eaten in several days and asked for NT$300, so Tsai then gave her NT$200 for food and bought noodles with the remaining money, he said.
Huang admitted that they were trying to have sex under the slide and that their genitals touched, although she said that Tsai could not maintain an erection and they could not complete the act.
In his appearance at the Kaohsiung District Court, Tsai changed his statement, claiming that he did not give Huang money, only food, and that they only briefly spoke.
Based on Liang’s photographs and other relevant evidence, the judge dismissed Tsai’s version of events and sentenced him to 40 days detention for public indecency, which can be commuted to a fine and appealed. Huang is being investigated separately.
