Prosecutors investigating political donation irregularities in Taiwan People’s Party (TPP) Chairman Ko Wen-je’s (柯文哲) presidential campaign today summoned five party members and an accountant for questioning.
The six are TPP caucus secretary-general Vicky Chen (陳智菡), TPP Deputy Secretary-General Osmar Hsu (許甫), Taipei City Councilor Huang Ching-ying (黃瀞瑩), TPP spokesperson Celina Wu (吳怡萱), party employee Lee Wan-hsuan (李婉萱) and Ho Ai-ting (何璦廷), an accountant with the firm Muko Public Relations (木可行銷公關), which handled marketing for Ko’s campaign.
Chen joined Ko’s city government in March 2020 as a researcher before being promoted to campaign spokesperson during his run for president.

After his loss she assumed her current position.
Lee and Ho have been accused of being Muko employees with salaries paid by the campaign.
Ho was previously listed as a suspect in the case and released on bail of NT$500,000 (US$15,386).
At the time, Wu said that Ho was an employee during the campaign period and only joined Muko after leaving Ko’s team, so there was no overlap in timing and it was reasonable for her to receive a campaign salary.
Prosecutors are investigating questions about political donations to Ko’s presidential campaign and the relationship between the campaign and Muko.
Last month, the Taipei District Court approved the seizure of NT$38.83 million from Muko for alleged falsified accounting and unlawful transfer of funds for personal profiteering.
