The first cold air mass of the season is to affect Taiwan from Wednesday, preceeded by a front that is to bring rain to the north and east tomorrow before temperatures dip nationwide, the Central Weather Administration (CWA) said today.
A front is expected to pass over Taiwan in the morning tomorrow as the northeast monsoon strengthens, bringing localized showers to the north and east from late tonight, CWA forecaster Chen Pei-an (陳姵安) said.
Rain is expected to ease from the afternoon tomorrow as the temperature falls, Chen said.

The first cold air mass of the season is to affect Taiwan from Wednesday to Saturday, she added.
Nighttime temperatures in the north are to dip to as low as 12°C, while daytime temperatures are to hover around 20°C, Chen said.
Temperatures in central and southern Taiwan are to dip as low as 14°C and 15°C respectively, and may fall below 10°C in localized mountainous areas, she said.
Although the cold mass is to ease from Saturday afternoon, there would still be a large temperature difference between night and day, Chen said.

The Kaohsiung Tourism Bureau audited six hotels in an effort to prevent price gouging ahead of Korean band BTS’ concert tour in the city scheduled for Nov. 19, 21 and 22 this year.
