The Tourism Administration is planning stimulus aid in three rounds for areas affected by the April 3 earthquake, including measures to revive tourism, Minister of Transportation and Communications Wang Kwo-tsai (王國材) said on Wednesday.
Total funding of NT$3 billion (US$92.39 million) is planned, with plans to be finalized by the Executive Yuan before a timeline for disbursal may be announced, he told reporters before a meeting at the legislature.
Details are still being discussed, but meetings have already been held on the matter, he added.

The first phase would include relief measures, while the second would focus on helping residents repair damaged buildings, Wang said.
Only after that would subsidies be set aside for individual and group tourism, he said, adding that he expects it to be implemented next month or in June.
Asked whether the subsidy for individual travel would be NT$500 per night as the tourism agency has done in the past, Wang said the final decision would be up to the Cabinet.
