The 16th of every month is to be China Airlines Membership Day, with different discounts for members introduced each month, the airline announced yesterday.
The airline is to announce discounted ticket prices and other benefits on membership day, and passengers are encouraged to keep a close eye on the China Airlines Web site for announcements.
The airline said it encourages all travelers to sign up for its Dynasty membership program, which is currently free.

For its first membership month event, airfares for 13 locations in South Korea and Japan would be discounted by 16 percent, potentially offering trips to both nations for less than NT$10,000.
For example, economy seats for round-trip flights from Kaohsiung’s Siaogang International Airport to Ginpo International Airport stand at NT$5,880, tax excluded; while round-trip flights from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to Incheon stand at NT$6,300; Taipei to Nagoya for NT$7,980, Taipei to Fukuoka for NT$8,316, and the newest route, Taipei to Kumamoto at NT$6,720, the airline said.
China Airlines Dynasty members would also be eligible to purchase limited economy-class tickets from Taipei to Toyama on the Oct. 16 CI-2170 flight for NT$4,550, and travelers can plan their return point from other cities where the airline operates, such as Tokyo, Osaka or Nagoya.
Members would also be offered discounts on Mandarin Airlines tickets, Novotel Hotel room and board and other mileage rewards.
