Chunghwa Post is to launch a series of products based on the cartoon character Hello Kitty and other characters from the Japanese entertainment company Sanrio, the postal company announced on Tuesday.
The Sanrio products are to launch on Friday next week, alongside a special stamp series designed for the 39th Asian International Stamp Exhibition, which is to take place from Friday next week to the following Tuesday, it said.

Sanrio characters My Melody, Bad Badtz-Maru, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin and others will be represented in collector stamps, a music box, toy cars, notepads, greeting cards, porcelain bowls and mugs, and other items, it said.
Two thousand limited-edition sets will also be sold, and those who get one of the limited-edition sets will receive a Hello Kitty canvas bag as a gift, it said.
A list of Chunghwa Post locations where the items will be sold is available on the company’s Web site, it said, adding that the items can also be purchased directly online from the site.
A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck off the coast of Hualien County in eastern Taiwan at 7pm yesterday, the Central Weather Administration (CWA) said.
