After about four hours of questioning, So was sent to the drug center in Tucheng, Taipei County, for a one-month rehabilitation program.
"So actually asked to take part in the rehabilitation program and hoped that the program could be carried out as soon as possible," said Chen Hung-ta (陳宏達), spokesman for the Taipei District Prosecutors' Office.
"It is also a legal requirement for us to send him to the Taipei Drug Abstention and Treatment Center after the hearing, when we determined that he took something he was not supposed to."
Chen did not confirm whether So admitted to taking Ecstasy, however.
So was arrested at Taipei City's Texound, a dance club located on Nanking East Road, along with an entourage of 11 friends and colleagues on June 8.
The singer and his friends were accused of taking Ecstasy at the club, where police also discovered four and a half Ecstasy pills.
Nobody at the scene admitted to possession of the pills.
After police arrived at the dance club at 2am to search the premises, they reportedly found So unconscious on a sofa.
So also tested positive for the drug in a urine test. However, he never admitted to taking the pills but said that he did take some weight-loss pills before the urine test.

A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck off Taitung County at 1:09pm today, the Central Weather Administration (CWA) said. The hypocenter was 53km northeast of Taitung County Hall at a depth of 12.5km, CWA data showed. The intensity of the quake, which gauges the actual effect of a seismic event, measured 4 in Taitung County and Hualien County on Taiwan's seven-tier intensity scale, the data showed. The quake had an intensity of 3 in Nantou County, Chiayi County, Yunlin County, Kaohsiung and Tainan, the data showed. There were no immediate reports of damage following the quake.
