Lin Chih-chieh, widely regarded as the greatest player in Taiwan’s basketball history, is set to make his P.League+ season debut for the Taipei Fubon Braves this weekend in his return from a serious wrist injury.
The Braves announced Lin’s return via social media on Tuesday, confirming that the 43-year-old shooting guard would suit up for the team’s first two home games of the new year.
The Braves are scheduled to face the Tainan TSG Hawks on Saturday and the Yankey Ark Professional Basketball Team on Sunday.

Lin’s career appeared to be in jeopardy in June after he broke his left wrist during Game 7 of the P.League+ Finals.
Given his stated plan to retire, many feared that the injury would mark the end of his professional journey, but Lin decided to return for “one more year,” officially making this season his “last dance.”
“Chih-chieh did not want to retire on the heels of an injury. He wants to play until the end and help the team win,” Braves general manager Roger Hsu said in October.
Lin’s legendary career began in 2003 with Taiwan Beer in the Super Basketball League (SBL), which was then the nation’s top-tier competition.
He transferred to the Chinese Basketball Association in 2009 to play for the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions before returning home to join the Braves in 2019. During his stint in China, he was named an all-star seven times.
A cornerstone of the “Golden Generation” of Taiwanese basketball, Lin’s trophy cabinet includes two SBL titles and three straight P.League+ championships from 2021 to 2023.
To honor his legacy, the Braves are to host Lin’s Retirement Series at the Taipei Dome on April 11 and 12, when the team are to play their final two home games of the regular season.

Brahim Diaz could have won the trophy for Morocco with a controversial spot-kick in the 24th minute of added time at the end of normal time as ugly scenes broke out in the stands. However, Senegal goalkeeper Edouard Mendy easily saved the weak attempted “Panenka” chip by the Real Madrid winger, who was clearly distracted by the long delay that followed the penalty award.
James Harden on Friday scored 31 points and came up big in overtime to help the Los Angeles Clippers erase a double-digit deficit on the way to a 121-117 NBA victory over the Toronto Raptors. Harden scored 16 points in the fourth quarter and overtime as the Clippers pushed their wining steak to five games despite the absence of star Kawhi Leonard with a sprained right ankle. The Clippers trailed by 11 entering the fourth quarter, but Harden drilled a pair of free-throws with 1:24 left in regulation to tie it and after misses from both teams, they went to
