Ange Postecoglou on Thursday said that his team’s 3-0 win over IF Elfsborg in the UEFA Europa League was “made in Tottenham,” after three youngsters scored to fire Spurs into the last 16.
Dane Scarlett, 20, and teenagers Damola Ajayi and Mikey Moore all found the net in London as Tottenham Hotspur secured a top-eight finish to ease some of the pressure on their head coach.

“Made in Tottenham tonight,” the Australian told TNT Sports.
“I’m super pleased for the young boys, and we also shouldn’t lose sight of the fact that we had a couple more teenagers out there, too,” Postecoglou said. “I’m sure those three lads won’t sleep tonight. We needed something tonight and the young lads stepped up.”
Tottenham have been hit badly by injuries, especially in defense. Centerback Micky van de Ven made just his second appearance since October last year, but was replaced at halftime by Radu Dragusin, who then had to be substituted due to a knee injury.
“We’ve got another big week coming up so the changes at halftime were about managing the load,” said Postecoglou, looking ahead to tomorrow’s Premier League trip to Brentford and the EFL Cup semi-final second leg against Liverpool next week.
“We still picked up [an] injury with Radu, which is not great... It is too early to say what it is, we will need to investigate further, but it was his knee which is not good,” he said.
Postecoglou said that Spurs could try and make a move for reinforcements before the transfer window shuts on Monday.
“The club will be working hard behind the scenes to see if we can get something done,” he said.

West Ham United on Monday advanced to the FA Cup quarter-finals with a 5-3 penalty shoot-out win against Brentford, who paid the price for Dango Ouattara’s spot-kick blunder. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side twice blew the lead as Jarrod Bowen’s double was canceled out by an Igor Thiago brace to force extra-time in the 2-2 draw at the London Stadium, but in the shoot-out, Brentford winger Ouattara attempted a chipped Panenka penalty, but his woeful effort was straight at West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola. It was an awful mistake by the Burkina Faso international and West Ham took full advantage. Bowen, Valentin Castellanos, Callum
