The CPBL All-Star Games are to be held at the Taipei Dome on July 20 and 21, setting an expectation for record-high attendance.
“This year, there’s no need to worry about rain,” CPBL commissioner Tsai Chi-chang (蔡其昌) told a news conference announcing the plans in Taipei.
The first day of last year’s event was delayed to the following Monday due to downpours at Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium.

Last year, 17,000 tickets were sold in advance for the first game originally to be held on Saturday and 13,000 sold for Sunday’s, with 14,628 attending the latter — the fifth-most in the All-Star Games’ history.
The highest attendance for an All-Star Game was 18,181 in 2013, played in Taoyuan.
Full capacity at the Taipei Dome for sporting events is 40,000.
