After the game Chuang thanked her fans and her mother Hsieh Hsiu-lin (謝秀玲) and paid tribute to her opponents.
"As young players, they played very well. They have a promising future ahead of them," she said.
Chuang and Hsieh have teamed up in professional tournaments since 2003, winning three challenger events and losing in the final of a WTA tournament in Seoul.
Recently, Chuang has partnered fellow Taiwanese Chan Yung-jan (詹詠然) and had not played with Hsieh for a year.
Chuang and Chan have tasted considerable success reaching the finals of this year's Australian Open and US Open tournaments.
