對話 Dialogue

Huáhua: Wǒ jiā fùjìn yě shì zhèyàng, tīng shuō wèile tígāo fúwù xiàolǜ, yuèláiyuè duō ménshì zhèngzài gǎizhuāng chéng “zhìqǔ ménshì”, suǒyǐ zhànshí bù jiēshòu dìngdān.
Qīngqing: Wǒ juéde běnlái de ménshì fúwù hěn hǎo a, wèishéme yídìng yào gǎi ne?
Huáhua: Gǎi chéng zhìqǔ ménshì de huà, bù xūyào èrshísì xiǎoshí yǒurén gùzhe, kěyǐ jiǎnshǎo rénlì chéngběn ba! Zàishuō, gùkè suíshí néng zìxíng qǔhuò, shíjiān shàng gèng tánxìng, bú shì gèng fāngbiàn ma?
Qīngqing: Huà shì zhèyàng shuō méicuò, dànshì zhèyàng yìlái bú jiù shǎo le rén hé rén hùdòng de rénqíngwèi le ma?
Huáhua: Yěxǔ ba, bùguò bǐqǐ rénqíngwèi, duì wǒ lái shuō bùlùn héshí xiàbān dōu ná de dào bāoguǒ gèng zhòngyào.
Qīngqing: Nǐ shuō de duì, búguò wǒ jiā fùjìn de ménshì gǎizhuāng wán hái yào hǎo yí zhènzi, ràng wǒ mā zìjǐ qù guàngjiē ba, tā yòu pà yùshàng rèqíng tuīxiāo de diànyuán, āi, zhè xiàzi Mǔqīnjié lǐwù gāi zěnme bàn?
Huáhua: Wǒ juéde bùrú nǐ zhǎo gè shíjiān péi āyí qù guàng guàngjiē ba! Yǒu nǐ zài pángbiān, diànyuán yīnggāi jiù bú huì guòlái dǎrǎo le.Lìngwài, xiànzài hěn duō diàn dōu yǒu zìzhù jiézhàng fúwù, āyí kěndìng néng guàng de kāixīn yòu méiyǒu yālì, zǒngguī yì jù, péibàn jiù shì zuì hǎo de lǐwù.

Qingqing: That’s strange — recently, I haven’t been able to select a pickup store on the shopping platform. What’s going on? If this keeps up, what should I do? The Mother’s Day gift I want to give my mom is about to fall through.
Huahua: It’s the same near my place. I hear that to improve service efficiency, more and more stores are being remodeled into “smart pickup stores,” so they’re temporarily not accepting orders.
Qingqing: I thought the original store service was already pretty good. Why do they have to change it?
Huahua: With smart pickup stores, there’s no need for someone to be there 24/7, so they can cut down on labor costs. Plus, customers can pick up their packages anytime they want, which makes things more flexible. Isn’t that more convenient?
Qingqing: That may be true, but doesn’t that take away the human interaction and warmth?
Huahua: Maybe, but for me, being able to get my package anytime after work is more important than a bit of the human touch.
Qingqing: You’re right, but the store near my home still needs quite a while to finish remodeling. If I let my mom go shopping by herself, she’s afraid of running into overly enthusiastic salespeople. Sigh, what should I do about the Mother’s Day gift now?
Huahua: I think you should find some time to go shopping with your mom. With you around, the salespeople probably won’t approach her. Also, many stores now have self-checkout services, so she can shop comfortably without pressure. All in all, the best gift is your company.

A: Hard rock band Guns N’ Roses is touring Taiwan tomorrow. What about pop diva Lady Gaga? Every May 1, Hawaii comes alive with Lei Day, a festival celebrating the rich culture and spirit of the islands. Initiated in 1927 by the poet Don Blanding, Lei Day began as a tribute to the Hawaiian custom of making and wearing leis. The idea was quickly adopted and officially recognized as a holiday in 1929, and leis have since become a symbol of local pride and cultural preservation. In Hawaiian culture, leis are more than decorative garlands made from flowers, shells or feathers. For Hawaiians, giving a lei is as natural as saying “aloha.” It shows love and
