清清：星期六就是元宵節了，你會去看燈會嗎？
Qīngqīng: Xīngqíliù jiùshì Yuánxiāo jié le, nǐ huì qù kàn dēnghuì ma?

華華：我不想去，人太多了！在家吃湯圓慶祝就好。
Huáhuá: Wǒ bùxiǎng qù, rén tàiduōle! Zàijiā chī tāngyuán qìngzhù jiù hǎo.
清清：那多沒意思啊！過了元宵節，年就算是過完了，還不抓住年的尾巴，好好輕鬆輕鬆，去欣賞一下美麗的花燈！
Qīngqīng: Nà duō méiyìsi a! Guòle Yuánxiāo jié, nián jiù suànshì guòwánle, háibù zhuāzhù nián de wěibā, hǎohǎo qīngsōng qīngsōng, qù xīnshǎng yíxià měilì de huādēng!
華華：我可以自己買幾個燈籠掛在家裡啊！今年是龍年，買兩個大龍燈籠掛起來，就是雙龍報喜。另外，前幾天我還買了有點貴的元宵，熱呼呼地吃上一碗就開心了。
Huáhua: Wǒ kěyǐ zìjǐ mǎi jǐ ge dēnglóng guà zài jiālǐ a! Jīnnián shì lóng nián, mǎi liǎng ge dàlóng dēnglóng guà qǐlái, jiùshì shuānglóng bàoxǐ. Lìngwài, qiánjǐtiān wǒ hái mǎile yǒudiǎn guì de yuánxiāo, rèhūhū de chīshàng yì wǎn jiù kāixīnle.
清清：哎呀！你真的是很沒情調欸！家裡的怎麼能和燈會的比？而且湯圓不是都差不多嗎？你買的為什麼有點貴？
Qīngqing: Aiya! Nǐ zhēnde shì hěn méi qíngdiào ei! Jiālǐ de zěnme néng hàn dēnghuì de bǐ? Érqiě tāngyuán búshì dōu chàbùduō ma? Nǐ mǎi de wèishénme yǒudiǎn guì?
華華：我買的是搖出來的「元宵」，不是包出來的「湯圓」，不一樣的。
Huáhua: Wǒ mǎi de shì yáo chūlái de “yuánxiāo”, búshì bāo chūlái de “tāngyuán”, bù yíyàng de.
清清：原來如此，長知識了，謝謝你啊！
Qīngqing: Yuánlái rúcǐ, zhǎng zhīshì le, xièxie nǐ a!
華華：祝你在燈會玩得開心，元宵節快樂啦！
Huáhua: Zhù nǐ zài dēnghuì wán de kāixīn, Yuánxiāo jié kuàilè la!
翻譯 Translation
Qingqing: Saturday is the Lantern Festival. Are you going to the lantern show?
Huahua: I don’t want to go. There are too many people. I prefer celebrating at home by eating rice-flour dumplings.
Qingqing: That’s so boring! After the Lantern Festival, it’s like the end of the New Year. You should seize the tail of the year, relax a bit and appreciate the beautiful lanterns.
Huahua: I can buy some lanterns and hang them at home. This year is the Year of the Dragon, so I bought two big dragon lanterns to symbolize double happiness. Also, a few days ago, I bought some slightly more expensive rice-flour dumplings. Eating a bowl of them makes me happy.
Qingqing: Oh my! You really lack taste! How can home decorations compare to the lantern show? And aren’t all rice-flour dumplings similar? Why did you buy the slightly more expensive ones?
Huahua: I bought “Yuanxiao” that are shaken out, not “Tangyuan” that are wrapped. They’re different.
Qingqing: I see, I’ve learned something new. Thank you.
Huahua: Wishing you a joyful time at the lantern fair and a happy Lantern Festival!
