用3到5分鐘做一個流暢的英文自我介紹，這表示你對國際職場充滿旺盛的企圖心，肯定會為你的面試加分。反之，試想如果你用忸怩的肢體語言告訴面試官：沒有準備英文的自我介紹，那絕對是專業能力的扣分，想要得到這份工作的可能性大大降低！
心法一 ：
Talk about the subject closest to you – yourself !

「心法」不是技巧，而是幫助你面對事情的一種想法。許多人聊天可以天南地北的說上個把小時，但是要正式介紹起「自己」，卻不知從何說起。
你可以看不懂一本書，或是不瞭解一部電影，但是你不能說「我不瞭解自己」！所以你要抱定一個心態，在英文自我介紹時，是談一個你最瞭解、最親近的話題：yourself（你自己），只是把內容由中文轉換為英文的。
如果你只用三言兩語的幾句英文，草草敷衍你的英文自我介紹，那如何能期望面試官認為你是一個有工作能力的人呢？ 所以，要言之有物地呈現你自己。
有些字眼是在介紹自己時很實用的字，包括：my birthplace（我的出身地）、family（家人）、major（主修）和present occupation（現在的職業）。
心法二：
Give the interviewers some understanding of your career background, your interests and your ambitions.
（讓你的面試官對於你的工作背景、關注的事物、以及你的企圖心有一些瞭解。）
任何「人」都有很多面相，你也不例外。但是在英文自我介紹時，不宜天馬行空的扯太遠，最好專注在你工作上的背景資訊（career background），例如previous work experiences（之前的工作經驗）。讓面試官了解你的interests，可不是指你的「興趣嗜好」，而是與工作有關的「關注的事物」，例如你參加的自我長成課程或關心的時事議題。也可以談一談對於工作上的「ambitions」，這個英文字不是字典裡的「野心」，而是指工作上的「企圖心」，亦可以稱得上是對自己的職涯規畫（career path），而不要讓面試官以為你只是個朝九晚五的上班族。
EXAMPLE:
My father is a doctor, so I guess it is natural for me to want to go into medicine.? And, I will return to my hometown to practice medicine among my own people.
（我的父親是醫生，所以我認為我走醫學這條路是很自然的事。而且，我要回到家鄉為那裡的同胞執業行醫。）－點出行醫的背景與未來計畫。
EXAMPLE:
I have more than five years’ experience as an engineer in this industry.? For the past three years, I have joined many seminars in the field.
（我有這個產業裡超過五年的工程師經驗。過去三年來，我參加過許多這個領域的研討會。）－以參加許多研討會，展現企圖心。
