To drum up business for the upcoming Lovers’ Day, also known as the Qixi Festival in Chinese, Taipei 101 has launched its first “Love you out loud on top of Taipei 101” event. Shoppers spending NT$10,000 or more there can take part in a prize draw. The lucky winner will be able to confess their love to their valentine via the high-profile LED display on the tower.
Taipei 101 says that it started using the LED lighting system on top of the building at the beginning of this year, and the new system will open to the public for the first time on Lovers’ Day. In the evening of this day, Aug 9 this year, it will show the winner’s confession of love outside, at the top of the building.
Meanwhile, the exclusive Taipei 101 Prestige Club, not usually open to the public, is open for non-members to dine today. The club offers an exclusive Qixi set menu for one day only.
