In the wake of typhoons and heavy rain, agricultural product prices have skyrocketed and produce has become coveted by criminals. In Yunlin County’s Yuanjhang Township, a farmer surnamed Lee had his cornfield robbed on the night of the typhoon, causing a loss of over NT$100,000. Yunlin police have now reinforced their farm protection operations, with all police precincts stepping up their patrols of agriculture, fishing, animal husbandry and similar enterprises in their respective jurisdictions.
Lee‘s cornfield in Yuanjhang Township was ready for harvest. He was afraid that his cornfield would be affected by Typhoon Dujuan’s strong winds and heavy rains, so on the night of Sept. 28 he went out in the rain to check up on his fields. He was then surprised to find that a whole field had been robbed of corn early in the morning of Sept. 29.
Yang Chih-sheng, captain of Huwei police station’s criminal investigation team, says that, according to Lee’s statement, there was probably more than one thief involved and the crime took place under cover of darkness on the morning of Sept. 29. Yang’s team has now gained access to security camera footage from along the road and has taken note of specific buyers whom they are investigating further.

Under the impact of two consecutive typhoons, Soudelor and Dujuan, crops have been severely damaged, and prices of both vegetables and fruit have soared. To protect farmers from becoming victims twice over, Yunlin police have strengthened their protection of agriculture. In addition to intensifying their nighttime field patrols, they are also checking on people and vehicles involved in harvesting and transporting agricultural products.

ˇ What do you think of the movie? χ How do you like the movie? χ How do you think of the movie? 註︰What do you think of = What is your opinion of。 think 的受詞是 what,不能用 how。 2. ˇ Which singer do you think is the best? χ Do you think which singer is the best? 註︰英語中 which singer 似乎是 do you think 的受詞,實則 do you think 是插入語,其他例子如下: 你以為他喜歡誰?
