Where do all the broken, balding Barbie dolls go?
Bettina Dorfmann, a German housewife from Duesseldorf, has saved hundreds of such broken Barbie dolls over the last 12 years.
Dorfmann takes or buys other people's broken Barbie Dolls or old clothes. She then will fix them or use the bodyparts to fix other dolls.

"People send me dolls from America, Belgium, France, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, and a whole lot from Canada," Dorfmann, said.
Dorfmann probably has one of the world's biggest Barbie collections with some 4,500 different models.
Dorfmann buys the dolls in the best condition to keep for herself. They can sell for up to 1,500 euros (NT$65,000) each. But she also buys lots of broken dolls which she uses for spare bodyparts and clothes.
Dorfmann said her customers are not children but adults like her — people who remember their childhood fondly or serious collectors.

A: Have you suddenly become so obsessed with ice sports because of the ongoing 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics? B: Apart from this, it’s also because of my obsession with an ice hockey-themed TV series, “Heated Rivalry.” A: Is that the gay romance drama where two ice hockey stars unexpectedly fall in love? A tragic case in California has brought renewed attention to the risks of using artificial intelligence. The parents of a 16-year-old boy, Adam Raine, filed a lawsuit in San Francisco against OpenAI, alleging that ChatGPT provided harmful information that encouraged his suicide. The teenager died in April 2025, after which his parents accused the company of negligence and product liability. That September, in response to growing public concerns, OpenAI announced plans to roll out parental controls. These new tools

B: And Malinin is the only skater to land a fully rotated “quadruple Axel” (4A) jump during an international competition. How about the female figure skaters? A:
The UK government has unveiled plans to lower the national voting age from 18 to 16, a transformation set to take effect in the next general election. With youth turnout at historic lows, the reform is framed as a way to reengage younger citizens and restore trust in the political process, though reactions remain divided. Just as the UK reduced the voting age to 18 in 1969, the current proposal reflects evolving conceptions of civic maturity. If 16-year-olds can work and pay taxes, advocates contend, should they not also have a say in shaping the laws they follow? Supporters also believe
