The Education UK Spring Exhibition 2010 will be held over four days in Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung cities, starting on March 6, the British Council said.
Representatives from more than 30 British universities and colleges will attend the show, while officials from several secondary schools will also be available to answer questions, the council said.
Council director Christine Skinner said more than 8,000 students from all over Taiwan came to last year’s event to collect information on UK schools.
The Taipei show will be at Eslite Xinyi Bookstore, 6th floor, on March 6 and March 7. The show in Taichung will be held at the National Chung-hsing University on March 9, while the one in Kaohsiung will be held at the National Sun Yat-sen University on March 10.
Palauan President Surangel Whipps Jr arrived in Taiwan last night to kick off his first visit to the country since beginning his second term earlier this year. At least three people died and more than a dozen were injured yesterday afternoon when a vehicle struck a group of pedestrians in New Taipei City’s Sansia District (三峽). The incident happened at about 4pm when a car rammed into pedestrians at an intersection near Bei Da Elementary School.
