Wang was responding to Liao's allegation that police officers attacked protesters who participated in Tuesday's event during a meeting held by the legislature's Judicial Committee yesterday morning.
Liao, with gauze covering his right eye, told Wang that he was attacked by a uniformed police officer and asked Wang to "do something" about it.
During the meeting, Liao played a video tape of Tuesday's fracas.
"You will see that I am not lying by watching the video," Liao said. "Did you see? I was hit on the head by a police officer with his megaphone."
