David Beckham picked up a knee injury after enjoying one of his better games in a Real Madrid shirt on Sunday in a 1-1 draw with Getafe.
The former England skipper, who was sent off in his last league outing, saw a 37th-minute shot come back off the crossbar and then helped win the penalty which gave Real a 45th-minute equalizer.
It was his through ball which released Robinho into the area. The Brazilian was chopped down and Ruud van Nistelrooy converted the spotkick for his 12th goal of the season.

Beckham's impressive display, however, ended on a low note when coach Fabio Capello revealed that the midfielder had suffered a right knee injury which will keep him out of tomorrow's Champions League trip to Bayern Munich, where the Spaniards will defend a 3-2 lead in their last 16 tie.
Juan Antonio Reyes will also miss the second leg clash.
"It's certain that they will not play against Bayern," Capello said. "Reyes's injury is serious; Beckham's could be just as significant."
Getafe, whose coach Bernd Schuster has been widely tipped to take over from Capello at the Bernabau next season, had taken the lead in the 38th minute when David Guiza found the net.
Sunday's result left Real Madrid in fourth place, six points behind Sevilla who deposed Barcelona as league leaders on Saturday with a 2-1 win over the defending champions.
Lineker backs becks
Former England striker Gary Lineker has called for David Beckham to return to the international fold on a short-term basis ahead of the crunch Euro 2008 qualifier against Israel on March 24.
Lineker believes the Real Madrid midfielder's experience would be invaluable when the national team travel to Tel Aviv for the critical game with qualification for next year's tournament in Austria and Switzerland looking uncertain.
However, Lineker insists a recall for the former England captain should only be temporary with Beckham set for a summer move to the Los Angeles Galaxy.
In his column in the Sunday Telegraph, Lineker wrote: "David Beckham has made a powerful case for a return to the international fold."
"I think [manager Steve] McClaren would be wise to bring back Beckham as a short-term measure and he should be welcomed back with open arms.
"He has shown his usual determination by battling back into the Real Madrid team after being told that he would never play under [manager] Fabio Capello again.
"Now he is playing as well as anyone at the Bernabeu and, with England wobbling, he could provide invaluable experience in what is looking like a crucial match.
"Beckham is a proven international class player and, while he might have lost some of the sharpness in his legs, if you look at it objectively he remains one of the top 20 players available to McClaren.
"His passing remains first rate and his ability at set-pieces is still undiminished.
"Beckham knows how to play international football. Yes, he did not play well for England over the past couple of years, but I think he was more of a victim of the way the team played rather than a cause of it.
"Of course, bringing back Beckham, who has 94 caps, could only be considered a short-term fix because, when he moves to the United States in the summer, he is going into semi-retirement.
"That is what is happening. I know what it is like because I went through it when I moved into Japanese football.
"The standards will be lower and he will be a long way from home. That will definitely be the end for him," Lineker wrote.

A soccer jersey carrying a national map including disputed Western Sahara has become a hot commodity in Morocco after a diplomatic dispute with Algeria. Retailers said RS Berkane jerseys have been flying off the shelves after a Confederation of African Football (CAF) Cup match against Algerian club USM Alger was canceled last month over the jerseys. “We are overwhelmed by the influx of messages and requests,” said Brahim Rabii, representative of the official RS Berkane jersey distributor. Algeria broke off diplomatic relations with Morocco in 2021, partly over the issue of Western Sahara. The former Spanish colony is largely controlled by Morocco, but claimed
