Echo plays at Legacy Taipei tomorrow.

Legacy Taipei hosts top Taiwanese pop performers and international acts. Tomorrow sees the first two sessions of Voice Up Concert, which is composed of 13 mini concerts by musicians and bands. Mando-pop singer Jane Huang (黃美珍) kicks off the series with a matinee, followed by an evening show by rock band Echo (回聲樂團). On Sunday, Ardor Huang (流氓阿德) celebrates his birthday and the release of his new album with a performance.

Californian old-school thrash metal act Warbringer arrives at The Wall (這牆), Taipei’s most prominent venue for indie rock artists, tonight, accompanied by Japan’s Code Red and heavy metal group Burning Island (火燒島) of Taiwan. Tomorrow’s main act is hard-rock act R’aie XIII, with alternative/cyber/electronic outfit Morals Abyss (道德深淵) and L DERColoR (無上彩) also on the bill. Swedish post-hardcore band Adept hits the stage on Sunday, with Taiwan’s metal group Beyond Cure and Obsess as the opening acts.

From Japan, Ryoko fuses punk, rock and ska tonight at indie rock club Revolver, supported by Taiwan’s indie rockers B.B.Bomb (BB彈), modern rock outfit Go Go Rise (美好前程) and Joker. Later the same night, COSiMOZ aka Ho How (何灝) brings up electro funky grooves, along with DJ duo BBQ Radio. Tomorrow, the venue hosts a techno party, featuring Michael Witting of Germany and Marco Mei from Italy. Taoyuan punks Noise Book are among the performers on Sunday, and it is metal/grunge group bwbc (廢埕樂團) and The Last Hope (最後希望) on Wednesday. Thursday’s lineup is formed by Kimogi (一種心情) and pop rock band Slower.

It is live music with young rockers Whateverplay (輕草森樂園), The Unspoken Rules (潛規則) and B-52 Bracer 52 tonight at Pipe Live Music, a main venue for indie music and parties. Tomorrow, the venue hosts a disco party, featuring DJs Mr. Happy, @L and Mr. Swing. Sunday’s roster include psychedelic folk combo W.S.S.M. (午休失眠) and Stone Door Airport (石門航空).

The Funksters present classic rock and blues tonight at Bobwundaye (無問題), a small pub on Heping East Road (和平東路) in Taipei. Tomorrow’s show is by power trio rock band Gold Seal.
